backgrounds.

Souris Valley Theatre is committed to building the Saskatchewan theatre
community and as such is only accepting applications from Saskatchewan based
artists at this time.

Rehearsals: July 11th to July 24th Run: July 25th to August 6th

Please prepare a 1 to 2 minute contemporary comedic monologue and a comedic
song from the musical theatre canon. Please bring your sheet music,
accompanist provided.

Pal Grandfield- Male- Middle Aged. Farmer, Tender hearted and philosophical.
Butter Ball- Female- A Silver Spangled Bantam Hen. Old Fashioned, yet Lusty
His Nibs- Male- A Silver spangled Bantam Rooster. Intellectual and Cultured

Volstead Blues by Billy Morton
Millie: Female, Middle Aged, Our Narrator.
Thomas: Male, Millie’s Son, A Young Prohibition supporter.
Big Mike: Male, A Chicago Gangster
Rita: Female, Big Mike’s best dame
Geno: Female, Big Mike’s assistant, Dresses as a Man.
Phil: Male, A Middle Aged Bootlegger
Sarah: Female, Phil’s Daughter, also a Bootlegger.

Souris Valley Theatre is a non-profit professional theatre located at
Woodlawn Park in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

Both CAEA members and non-CAEA members will be considered. Equity members
will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this
production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members:
