Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Shakespeare BASH’d encourages submissions from artists of all diverse
backgrounds including, but not limited to: race, ethnicity, gender,
body-type, and sexuality.

Additional information:
Shakespeare BASH’d is now accepting submissions for upcoming auditions. We
are looking to meet new Toronto artists and see their work.

Shakespeare BASH’d works under the Equity Artists’ Collective Policy (profit
share). We strive to present Shakespeare's plays as they were written: with
simple staging, clear and specific language, and an emphasis on the words
and characters telling the story. We present our productions in bars across
the city and are coming off our fourth sold-out season.

We thank everyone for their interest; however only those selected for an
audition will be contacted.
Successful candidates will be contacted with more details and to set-up an
audition time.

Please email a resume and headshot to shakespearebashd at gmail.com. Please
include in the body of your email a brief introduction to your relationship
with classical text.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
