About The Capitol: The Capitol Theatre is led by Artistic Director & GM
Antonio Sarmiento and has become a leading Regional Theatre that is
utilizing innovative cinematic approaches to live entertainment. It is one
of Canada’s only remaining “atmospheric theatres” and now a nationally
designated historical landmark. Due to limited space backstage, the Capitol
uses cutting edge technologies in digital projection to enhance live theatre
productions to great success. The Capitol is also known for it’s proximity
to Toronto and the beautiful and historic community. Coupled with a “Can
Do” and positive approach to the process of creating quality shows in a
limited space, the Capitol is drawing top talent to its productions both on
and off stage.

Recent productions include: “SNOW WHITE The Panto”, “Mamma Mia!”, “Crazy For
You”,”SNARL’D! The Rapunzel Panto”, “Singin’ In The Rain”, “SHOUT! The Mod
Musical”, “On A First Name Basis”, “Aladdin! The Panto”, “Disney’s Mary
Poppins”,”Broadway! Andrew Lloyd Webber”, “Driving Miss Daisy”

CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition. Equity
members cast in productions will be engaged under an Equity contract.
