Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Talk Is Free Theatre is strongly committed to a diversity on stage and
encourages artists of all backgrounds to apply.

Additional information:
Talk is Free will begin work on a new piece of collectively created theatre
collaborating with songwriting team Colleen Dauncey & Akiva Romer-Segal, and
director Jakob Ehman. We are seeking generous and versatile
performers/creators. Skills with an instrument / improv / dramaturgy / film
/ projections / comedy / choreography / devising / etc. are considered an
asset. Performers must be confident singers. The project will be exploring
ideas of fate, fortune and destiny from various cultural viewpoints.
(Astrology, fortunes, tarot cards, etc.)

Auditions will be held in Toronto.
First work session in Toronto, March 1-5, 2016
Continuing May 9-15, 2016. (STC)
Please send a cover letter including availability over the next year,
headshot + resume before January 15, 2016

Artists selected to audition, please prepare the following:

- A contemporary song of any style, preferably not from the musical theatre
repertoire. This may be performed with the accompanist, a cappella, or self
accompanied (your own instrument or piano in the room).

-A monologue or piece of text of your choosing.

NOTE, at least ONE of the two above pieces should be an original creation,
feel free to use inspiration from related found text.

-Optional: A demonstration of any additional skill(s) you possess that may
add to the collective process.
