Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Guild Theatre Productions encourages submissions from artists of all ethnic
and cultural backgrounds.

Additional information:
The producers of the hit musical Anne & Gilbert will be holding Toronto
auditions for their 2016 season on Sun, Jan. 24th and Mon, Jan. 25th.
Candidates selected for an audition will be provided with the location.
Dates of the season (including rehearsal period) are approx. May 10th to
October 18th, inclusive, at The Guild Theatre, Charlottetown, Prince Edward
Island.

We are looking for strong actor/singer/dancers to play AND/OR understudy
various roles:

Anne Shirley (16-22) Vocal Range G3 to F5
Diana Barry (16-22) Vocal Range A3 to C5
Josie Pye (18-24) Vocal Range B3 to E5
Philippa Gordon (20-25) Vocal Range G3 to E5

Gilbert Blythe (16-22) Vocal Range A2 to G4
Male Ensemble Member to understudy various roles, including but not limited
to: Gilbert Blythe (see description above) and Royal Gardiner (20-25) Vocal
Range B2 to E4; must have strong dance background.

Step/tap dancing an asset (but not required) for all roles.

later than Monday, Jan. 18th. Please indicate in the subject line which
role(s)/understudies you would like to be considered for (ex: "Gilbert
Submission from John Doe"). Only applicants selected for an audition will be
contacted. At that time you will be provided with time/venue information for
the co-ed dance call, as well as specific requirements for individual
auditions.

"Anne and Gilbert"s storyline and characters are taken from the books "Anne
of Avonlea" and "Anne of the Island" by L.M. Montgomery.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
