---------------------------
S.M.Arts 2016 BEGINS APRIL 14TH - TORONTO, ON
---------------------------

The 19th annual Stage Managing the Arts (S.M.Arts) Conference will take
place April 14 to 23, 2016 in Toronto, Ontario. The "Equity day" will be
Friday, April 22.

The annual Apprenticeship Trust Fund Fundraiser party will be held on
Saturday, April 23rd.

Equity is a key S.M.Arts sponsor as part of the Association's professional
development mandate.

S.M.Arts Conference Director Janelle Rainville, Founder Winston Morgan and
Conference Associate Jeff Morris and experts in the field host a series of
seminars exploring the many aspects of the craft of stage management. These
sessions provide a comfortable environment for new or experienced stage
managers to hone their skills.

The Conference is designed for both the student stage manager who wants to
know more about their career choice and the experienced stage manager who is
looking for diversification within their field.

As in past years, S.M.Arts will be offering a conference pass which allows a
participant to attend all of the courses for a substantially reduced rate.

The 2016 Conference course schedule is available at S.M.Arts' website:
http://www.stagemanagingthearts.ca .

Enquiries about the 2016 Conference may be directed to Janelle Rainville,
Director at janelle at stagemanagingthearts.ca.
