indigeneity, gender and sexuality.

Additional information:
Elbow Room Café: The Musical offers a candid look inside the world of
Vancouver’s iconic Elbow Room Café, home of raucous service, celebrity
sightings, and a heart of gold. The show explores how we age together in a
Technicolor world through the eyes of real-life Café owners Patrice and
Bryan. Partners in business and life, they are the heart and soul of the
piece and anchor an eclectic and campy cast of misfits, drag queens, and the
perpetually hung over. Elbow Room explores legacy, asking what stamp do we
leave on the world once we depart, and how will we be remembered.

Character descriptions:
TIM: Male, late 30s/early 40s – From Tennessee, traveled to Vancouver with
wife Tabby to celebrate anniversary, they’re drawn into the Technicolor
world of the Café and can’t leave.
TABBY: Female, late 30s/early 40s – From in Tennessee, drawn to the colour
and chaos of the Café, where she can be her best self and try to get her
husband out of his macho shell.
JACKIE: Female, 30s – She awaits her ex girlfriend Jill, who she’s hoping to
win back. She’s all heart, and dear friend of Bryan, one of the café
owners.
