Roseneath Theatre seeks to be a reflection of the audience we serve. For
this reason, we reach out to artists from different cultural backgrounds.

Additional information:
Roseneath Theatre (ITA TYA) is touring our production of Spirit Horse by
Drew Hayden Taylor to Young Peoples Theatre, the Sudbury Theatre Centre &
schools in northern Ontario and the Ottawa area. We are seeking two adult
Indigenous professional actors to play these Indigenous roles. Each
performer has a major role and many minor roles in this production for young
audiences.

Pa – Father, 30-45, a grandfather from the Stoney Nation and other roles. He
used to be a champion rodeo rider. Emotional depth & honesty essential.

Jesse – Female, plays a twelve year old, urban youth from the Stoney Nation.
Older sister to Angelina, Jesse is smart, tough and protective of her
sister.

A highly theatrical & imaginative story in which three actors play over 65
characters, accompanied by a live musician. Spirit Horse is a powerful
adventure of two Indigenous city children whose lives are changed forever by
the appearance of a Spirit Horse - a gift from their grandfather who lives
by the old ways on a prairies reserve.

All actors granted an audition will have access to the full script of the
play.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
