EQUITY BYLAW UPDATES - AUGUST 2016

Equity's Council encourages all members to be familiar with the rules that
govern membership in our Association. Electronic copies of the current
bylaws are always posted for review or download in the "Document Library"
section of EQUITYONLINE (www.caea.com), and are available in print format
upon request to the Association.

At the Council meeting of August 22, 2016 the following bylaw changes were
made:

Article, 89.2: a new article was added to ensure that stage management
candidates for membership, who are required to have a minimum threshold of
contracted experience to join, are not compelled to overpay their initiation
fees in satisfying that requirement.

Article 15: several sub-clauses were amended to keep language consistent
with the new Article 89.2. These changes removed text made redundant by the
creation of the new Article, added a cross-reference to new Article 89.2,
and clarified language regarding filing fees for permittees. No substantive
alterations were made through any of these changes.
