encounters with the crowned heads of Europe.

Fredrick's gloomy son. Studies for the Lutheran priesthood. Serious but
confused.

Fredrick's new wife, a breathtakingly gorgeous child bride. Giddy,
virginal, naive.

PETRA
Anne's earthy maid and closest confidante. Seizes every moment to rustle
in the hay.

Vain, arrogant, splendidly proportioned, ferociously jealous. Desiree's
newest lover.
