Theatre encourages submissions from diverse artists of all backgrounds,

Winnipeg Jewish Theatre is holding auditions in Toronto for its upcoming
production of TRIBES by Nina Raine, directed by Ari Weinberg.

Billy was born deaf into a hearing family. He was raised inside its fiercely
idiosyncratic and politically incorrect cocoon. He has adapted brilliantly
to his family's unconventional ways, but they've never bothered to return
the favour. It's not until he meets Sylvia, a young woman on the brink of
deafness, that he finally understands what it means to be understood.

We are seeking to cast the following roles:

Daniel - Male, mid-20s, British. Graduate Student. Eldest Child,
sometime-stutterer, plays a bit of piano.

Ruth - Female, mid-20s. British. Middle Child. Performer/singer

Rehearsals begin in Winnipeg on September 25, 2017 and the production runs
until October 29, 2017.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
