Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: SkirtsAfire
hopes to receive submissions from people of all ethnicities and cultural
backgrounds, especially considering that the theme for the 2018 festival is,
International Women.

Additional information:
The Romeo Initiative by Trina Davies will be directed by Nancy McAlear for
SkirtsAfire 2018.

Based on a real program in East Germany in which West German secretaries
were targeted and psychologically profiled to determine their "perfect man."
The Romeo Initiative is half romantic comedy, half spy thriller with a
tantalizing twist.

ACTORS
Karin: (Any Ethnicity) 35-50 years old. Karin is a romantic who has resigned
herself to a life alone. She is intelligent, quiet, and unassuming.
Lena: (Any Ethnicity) 20-35 years old. Lena is confident and cynical. She
knows what she wants and will do anything to get it.
Markus: (Any Ethnicity) 30-45. Markus is charming and manipulative on the
outside, conflicted on the inside.

This production will be an ITA CAEA contract. Rehearsals from February 6 to
February 28, and performances March 1 to March 11, 2018.
