WORLD PREMIERE

Everett Klippert was the last person to be tried, convicted, and jailed for
homosexuality in Canada. Maxine, a young historian today, becomes consumed
with finding out who he really was, past the headlines. This is the story of
the struggle to define Klippert, beyond what history wants and needs him to
be.

Third Street Theatre is dedicated to the positive promotion of queer
culture, stories, and voices, with a focus on production, mentorship, and
the artistic development of queer and queer-minded talent.

Calgary Gay History Project: We are curious about what life was like for gay
people in Calgary in the middle of the last century.

Sage Theatre tells bold, intimate, thoughtful stories of the human condition
through live performance.

CHARACTERS

EVERETT (GEORGE) KLIPPERT: A man of average height/build with dark hair.
HANDSOME: Plays various lovers of Klippert
MAXINE: Aspiring Professor of Canadian History
TONYA: A comedian of Métis Ancestry

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
