Guild Theatre Productions STRONGLY encourages submissions from artists of
all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Additional information:
The producers of the hit musical Anne & Gilbert will be holding Toronto
auditions for their 2017 season on Thurs, Feb. 23rd and Fri, Feb. 24th.
Candidates selected for an audition will be provided with the location.
Dates of the season (including rehearsal period) are approx. May 2nd to
October 24th, inclusive, at The Guild Theatre, Charlottetown, Prince Edward
Island. Directed by Catherine O'Brien. Choreography by Brittany Banks.

We are looking for strong actor/singer/dancers to fill the following roles:

Diana Barry (16-22) Vocal Range A3 to C5 - Anne Shirley's best friend. Very
bubbly, warm and energetic.

Josie Pye (18-24) Vocal Range B3 to E5 -  Anne's feisty and flirtatious
rival for Gilbert Blythe's affections. Strong dance background preferred.

Female Ensemble Member; will cover various roles. Must have strong dance
background.

Gilbert Blythe (16-22) Vocal Range A2 to G4 - The charming and patient
leading man, in love with Anne.

Royal Gardiner (20-25) Vocal Range B2 to E4 - A wealthy and entitled suitor
for Anne.

Male Ensemble Member; will cover various roles. Must have strong dance
background.

Tap and/or step dancing a major asset (but not required) for all roles.
Please indicate relevant experience in cover letter.

later than Monday Feb. 20th. Early submissions highly encouraged. Please
indicate in the subject line which role(s) you would like to be considered
for (ex: Gilbert Submission from John Doe). Only applicants selected for an
audition will be contacted. At that time you will be provided with
time/venue information, sides/song(s) from the show, and co-ed dance call
info. Please note that actors who were given an audition last year may not
need to be seen again this year, but please send an email expressing
interest and availability in our 2017 season with an updated headshot and
resume to be considered.
Anne and Gilbert's storyline and characters are taken from the books "Anne
of Avonlea" and "Anne of the Island" by L.M. Montgomery.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
