Additional information:
The requirements for this apprenticeship include:
• Stage management experience from a professional theatre company
• University degree or college diploma in technical theatre and/or stage
management. Candidates cannot be currently enrolled in a training program
• Keen interest in the stage management field and a strong understanding of
the necessary skills required for the position
• Ability to work well in a creative environment and as a member of a team
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Basic wardrobe maintenance skills
• Basic properties maintenance skills

Job Description
• Assisting the Stage Manager during preparation, rehearsals, and
performances
• Attending all production and show related meetings, as deemed necessary by
the Stage Manager
• Laundry and basic costume maintenance during the run
• Basic properties maintenance and purchasing of running/food props when
required
• Managing petty cash, submitting proper expense claim forms
• Adhering to the policies in the Tarragon Theatre Employee Handbook
• Adhering to Tarragon Theatre’s Health & Safety Policy
• Adhering to the Canadian Theatre Agreement

This is a paid internship. Candidates must have the desire to become a Stage
Manager under the Canadian Actors' Equity Association.
