About the Workshop:
D'Arcy Smith, an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati, will
be guest teaching a General American Voice Workshop on Wednesday November
22, 6-10pm at The Dirt.

In this intensive workshop, you will learn key sounds to watch out for,
vocal/physical patterns, inflection and rhythmic patterns as well.

This workshop will focus on gaining skill in the accent and individual
instruction. Participants should be prepared with a short monologue/text.
$195 regular fee/$156 Equity rate.

When you're heading into an audition, a rehearsal, performing, or meeting
an agent or director, that's when you need your brain to work with you,
not against you. You can take control of your stage fright with a
practical tool that has been embraced by the military, major corporations,
schools, health care providers and competitive athletes: mindfulness
meditation. This workshop will give you effective tools to manage and
overcome your anxiety, and an understanding of how anxiety affects
performance.
