Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:  The Highlands
Summer Festival engages and embraces artists and audiences who identify,
embody, and align with all ethnicities, cultures, communities.

Additional information:

The Ontario Summer Theatres (OST) is once again holding joint auditions in
Toronto this fall. Selected artists will be given the opportunity to
audition for artistic directors from several of the province's flagship
summer theatres simultaneously. Participating companies include: the Blyth
Festival, Driftwood Theatre, the Foster Festival, Globus Theatre, Highlands
Summer Festival, Lighthouse Festival, and Port Stanley Festival.

Participants will be asked to prepare two contrasting monologues of their
choice; these can include contemporary Canadian works, classical pieces, and
musical theatre. Artists are encouraged to try to choose at least one piece
that features approaches to comedy.

Artists are asked to apply directly to a participating theatre.

The Highlands Summer Festival has just completed its 18th Season. The
Festival announces its season in mid November. Each of the last nine seasons
has included a musical production.
The HSF engages primarily community-based artists.
Equity members engaged by the HSF will be engaged under an Equity DOT Policy
contracts.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
