TORONTO</b> - The Clean Air Partnership is recognizing two outstanding
individuals whose work has been dedicated to improving the livability of
our cities, Eva Ligeti announced today. <br>

We are very proud to recognize Dr. Andy Kenney, Faculty of Forestry, University
of Toronto, and Dr. Monica Campbell of the Toronto Board of Health, and,
said Ligeti. “Their outstanding contributions and passionate leadership
has made a great impact on urban air quality. <br>
<br>
Andy Kenney is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Forestry, University
of Toronto. Dr. Kenney worked in collaboration on the development of Neighbourwoods,
a community-based urban forest inventory and management protocol. <br>
<br>
Toronto Public Health employs a team of researchers, policy experts and
health promotion specialists in protecting the public from environmental
risks to their health. Under the leadership of Dr. Monica Campbell, the
Toronto Public Health’s Environmental Protection Office has played a pivotal
role in initiating and directing innovative studies and programs to mitigate
the burden of illness resulting from air pollution. <br>
<br>
The Clean Air Partnership Awards will be celebrated at the 7th Anniversary
Reception and Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 6:00
pm at Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto. <br>
<br>
Our guest speaker for the evening is Clive Doucet. He is an urban activist,
best-selling author and winner of the 2004 Gallon Eco-Councillor award.
Mr. Doucet will also be launching his latest book <i>Urban Meltdown: Cities,
Climate Change and Politics as Usual</i>. <br>
