organized a "summit" in Winnipeg. It was very gratifying to be with other
professional and there was lots of good ideas...we have plenty of them. What is
lacking is any instrument for implementation. So if Jim and ISA want to do this
in Canada I suggest that we talk about this and try to put it in the context of
what has already been done and what is really needed rather than start at ground
zero again with general discussions that have probably already been

Exec. Dir. - Jim Skiera - is budgeting some $$'s to help fund an ISA Cdn
roundtable of Urban Forestry Across Canada, specifically to discuss / brain
storm key issues country-wide. We anticipate a group of about 15 - 18 folks,
hoping to collaborate in findings. It wont be a long session, but at least a
start. We haven't put all the details together yet, but will shortly be
seeking -out potential topics & Cdn ISA members who can attend.
