year.  Our first step was to complete a UFORE analysis (which is in
progress now and will be completed in 2009).  We hope to first identify
the environmental importance of our urban forest and then tie that to our
Official Plan environmental goal statements.  We have a Tree and Forests
Advisory Committee with representatives from across the community that will
review the UFORE analysis and will be actively involved in setting the
direction and recommendations that go into a strategy.   <o:p></o:p></span></p>
