Launches Craig Huff Urban Forest Memorial Bursary<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>(<i>Ottawa, ON – March 10, 2010</i>) Tree Canada is urging
Canadian university, college and CÉGEP students interested in urban forestry to
apply to the Craig Huff Urban Forest Memorial Bursary. <b>The deadline is May
16.</b> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'> The bursary will cover the
costs of hotel, travel and registration to attend the 9<sup>th</sup> Canadian
Urban Forest Conference in Truro, N.S., October 5-8, 2010. The approximate
value of the bursary is $2,000. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'>Craig Huff was the Forester for
the City of Ottawa, who died prematurely in March, 2008. He was well known
throughout Canada as an urban forest practitioner, a great supporter of the
Canadian Urban Forest Conference and a longtime member of the International
Society of Arboriculture (ISA). His family asked for Tree Canada to establish a
legacy project in his name.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'>“We are proud to pass along Craig
Huff’s passion to the next generation of students, who will help keep Canada’s
urban areas green,” said Michael Rosen, Tree Canada President. “We hope this
bursary will further encourage Canadian youth to continue their studies in

Arbres Canada invite les étudiants qui fréquentent une université, un collège
ou un CÉGEP au Canada et qui s’intéressent à la foresterie urbaine à présenter
une demande pour la Bourse commémorative Craig Huff pour la forêt urbaine. <b>La
date limite de soumission est le 16 mai</b>. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:normal'><span lang=FR-CA>La bourse
couvrira les coûts de l’hébergement à l’hôtel, des déplacements et de
l’inscription à la 9<sup>e</sup> Conférence canadienne sur la forêt
urbaine qui aura lieu à Truro, en Nouvelle-Écosse, du 5 au 8 octobre 2010.
La valeur approximative de la bourse est de 2 000 $.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
