As it is not geared to <BR>managing trees, it's a general asset management program. I believe it was <BR>initially used for industrial use. It has required extensive <BR>customization to make it work for tree inventory & work order management. <BR>We were the first department in Brantford to use this program, and we have <BR>had good success with some aspects, while other significant issues have <BR>been unresolved. A lot of work was put in at the beginning to get our <BR>work order system up and running for trees; it works quite well. However, <BR>we ran out of time to get our grid pruning program computerized, so now <BR>our operations is still half on paper and half on the computer. Currently we are running a<BR>custom built street tree inventory/management software. The inventory<BR>application is GIS based and uses a tablet/GPS unit to collect<BR>location/attribute information and perform inspections. We have yet to<BR>set-up the work order portion of the application. The system is an<BR>excellent inventory and analysis tool.
