in sheltered locations that have some shade or install burlap screens secured

planting in close proximity to major vehicular traffic routes or

the soil moisture is adequate before freeze up anticipating the February/March

conifers in the fall (in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Saskatoon</st1:place></st1:City>).
I have been told that planting of conifers should stop after August
15th, however I have also been told that it is only the Pines that we have to
worry about, it's fine to plant all other connies in the fall. I have
witnessed die back and stress in Pine but have not noticed any problems with
Spruce or Larch. <br>
