The research program that these students will contribute to seeks to establish the drought resilience as well as the water and nutrient uptake capacity of a wide range of current and potential urban street trees. The ecohydrological properties and thresholds that these students determine will then be used to model the potential runoff water quality improvements that different tree species and WSUD installations can provide under existing and future rainfall and nutrient load scenarios.
