ýHi Darren, </div>

I too have been thinking about this! I have been applying the CRZ root protection formula type thought process to this. With aý 12:1 CRZ protection distance to give you the distance to stay away from trees; using a 24:1 and calculating area, will give a real
rough estimate. </div>

Using this very rough estimate, and given our 17,000 Ash trees (streets and manicured parks) we ýlost roughly 0.4km2 or 41 ha of canopy due to EAB here in Markham. </div>

<div dir="ltr">Hello everyone,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Is anyone aware of information or a chart of some sort that indicates the relationship between DBH and canopy width for various tree species? </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Eg, </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Sugar maple with diameter "x" on average, has a canopy width of "y".</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I understand that this is a very over generalized question and there are multiple variables involved. I was hoping that there might be something akin to a trigonometry table available somewhere.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I'm looking to perform some canopy analysis and would like to create buffers representing canopy width for different tree species based on their diameters.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Any links would be greatly appreciated.</div>
<div><br>

<div><br>
</div>
<div>Best Regards, </div>
