Change Canada to better estimate and track carbon dioxide sequestration and carbon storage in urban forests and street trees. In 2018, we collected information about the Canadian urban forest inventories from coast to coast.

is removed from the urban forest (tree mortality - tree removal, maintenance - pruning). The results of this survey will be considered in the improvement of the National greenhouse gas inventory by providing a better understanding of the fate of wood from
urban trees including carbon stored in derived wood products and their contribution to renewable energy.

home owners for firewood and an increasing amount may be used for longer lasting products such as construction, furniture, or other forms of renewable energy. There is an increasing interest by cities, local entrepreneurs and not-for-profit organisations to
improve the use of urban forest wood and biomass. This survey is developed to better understand the fate of dead wood biomass from urban forest across Canada.

prélevée dans les forêts urbaines (mortalité/élimination des arbres, entretien/élagage). Les résultats de cette enquête participeront à l’amélioration de l’inventaire national des émissions de gaz à effet de serre en permettant de mieux comprendre le sort
réservé au bois provenant des arbres urbains, y compris le carbone stocké dans les produits forestiers dérivés et leur contribution aux énergies renouvelables.

paillis, mais elle peut également être utilisée par les particuliers en tant que bois de chauffage et de plus en plus dans le cadre de produits plus durables : construction, meubles ou autres formes d’énergie renouvelable. Les villes, les entrepreneurs locaux
et les organismes à but non lucratif nourrissent un intérêt grandissant pour l’optimisation de l’utilisation du bois et de la biomasse issus des forêts urbaines. Cette enquête a été élaborée afin de mieux comprendre le sort réservé à la biomasse de bois mort
des forêts urbaines canadiennes. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
