This notice is announcing the launch of the newly created Manitoba Urban
Forest Council (MBUFC)!

The Manitoba Urban Forest Council is a non-profit organization with a mission
to protect, maintain, and enhance urban forests by promoting arboricultural
best practices, safe work, professional development, information sharing, and
networking in Manitoba.

The Council was formed by several individuals from various sectors of the
urban forestry industry who identified the need for a collective organization
to represent urban forestry in Manitoba, and to connect people and combine
efforts in protecting and enhancing our urban forests.

The Council represents urban forestry for municipalities, urban forestry
professionals, educational institutions, and arboriculture- and urban
forestry-related industries across the province. It is governed by a set of
by-laws and is currently run by the founding Board of Directors.
