This survey is to gather contacts for suggested participants for an up-coming tree preservation incentives questionnaire, part of a UBC capstone project.</p>

<b>Target participants for tree preservation incentives questionnaire:</b> people that work for a municipality in British Columbia with a tree bylaw, involved in planning and application review of development on privately held lands - subject matter experts
in urban forestry, planning, engineering/land development, or law (one staff member per realm = four responses per municipality).</p>

The tree preservation incentives questionnaire responses will be anonymized to allow respondents to speak freely of their understanding of the use of incentives in their municipality. Since data is collected anonymously, information cannot be withdrawn once
submitted.</p>

The research data will be encrypted, stored at a UBC facility and will be retained for a minimum of 5 years after publication. The Principal Investigator will remain responsible for any retained data, confidentiality will be safeguarded subject to legal requirements,
and data will be password protected and accessible only by the named researchers. All precautions will be taken to protect identifiable information and preserve anonymity of participants throughout the research project.</p>
