<div dir="ltr">Hi Joerg,<div><br></div><div>I would recommend obtaining services from an urban forestry consulting firm (unless there are sufficient resources in house) to conduct an inventory/survey of all trees within the striking zone of all specified targets. The inventory attributes should include tree condition, structural condition, location, etc as well as a visual level 1 risk assessment. Trees with noticeable defects or of a certain size (dependent on manager's risk threshold) can further be assessed with a level 2 or 3, depending on targets, etc. In the past I have conducted tree risk inventories for golf-courses and parklands utilizing Survey 123 and exported the shapefiles to GIS. This helped the client better visualize and manage tree risk on their property. The inventory should also include a comprehensive report and pertinent hazard mitigation recommendations. </div><div><br></div><div>An inventory/survey can be very useful for simplifying the management process and better monitoring tree condition/risk over time. incidents at Trinity Bellwood Park in Toronto where falling trees and/or branches have hurt residents.<u></u><u></u></p>
