<div>Does PEI forestry urban Forest services assess and list all remarkable trees so that the power company be informed, be aware, be responsible for sending well trained Forresters? Hydro Quebec has, through its foundation, made a list of all remarkable trees
along the main powerlines, no butchering, no rule of law of 30% cutting on champion species. Tree men work with champion specifications and along the age. this could be a start for a better relationship with the power company, you might save quite a few trees.
In our growing communities, where can trees be planted at 45 feet from foundations ? Quebec being so very Nordic loses so many trees through the different storms. Power posts deliver hydro in a zig zag pattern across tertres ans boulevards. City landscape
Architects must understand and have proper knowledge of three species and canopy. There is room for converging professional dialogues for tree management. Hope a listing of remarkable trees be foreseeable as a tool for all professionals.</div>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">PEI still has mainly overhead power lines with few buried underground. With increased intense storms and power outages, our local utility is working to increase tree clearances around power lines.
Communication delivered across the province from the electrical utility company requests that all trees be planted 45ft from overhead power lines. They are also working to increase clearances of existing trees/natural areas near lines. In urban areas, tree
removals even 1/3 of the distance above would be detrimental to our already shrinking tree canopy.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">Can anyone in this group speak to or share your bylaws or regulations for municipally owned tree protection, clearances, pruning, removals, planting near overhead utilities (in an urban setting)?
Also, any input on ensuring occupational health and safety considerations for utility workers and how that relates to proximity of trees to the lines would be welcomed as well. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
