Things are getting so bad that the City of Toronto passed a motion to formally ask Ford to reinstate rent control. Sign the petition to reverse rent control cuts.

Protect Ontario's water from Nestlé's greed

Nestlé has been waiting years to pounce on a small community's water. The only thing standing in its way has been a temporary moratorium on new bottled water permits. The current moratorium is about to expire and we have just two weeks to let the Ontario government know that we want a permanent moratorium on new bottled water permits. Send your message here.

Write for Rights for Grassy Narrows

Mon. Dec. 9, 6 pm

70 Saint Mary Street

This year, Amnesty International is highlighting a case right here in Canada, of youth from Asubpeeschoseewagong (“Grassy Narrows First Nation”) who are fighting for justice in the face of 50 years of mercury poisoning in their community. Because of government inaction, generations of young Indigenous people have grown up with devastating health problems and the loss of their cultural traditions. It’s time for the government to keep its promise to deal with the mercury crisis “once and for all” so that young people can grow up in a healthy and thriving community. We’ll have the cases information, paper, pens, and inspiration.
