Last semester, she was assigned the task of creating an event for a non-profit organization in her fourth year Promotional Events class with Dr. Gina Grosenick at Carleton University. Elisa and her colleague Meagan Hillier set out to develop a mock event that would meet the needs of Options Bytown, a local housing and support agency dedicated to helping those at risk of homelessness.</span></span><p><span style="font-size: 14px; "><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; ">To Elisa and Meagan’s credit, their work was so promising that Options Bytown has decided to go forward with the fundraising event. These two students are continuing their volunteer work through the summer and into the fall to ensure that the event goes off without a hitch.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 14px; "><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; ">Ask Me Ottawa caught up with Elisa and asked her about her project.
