style='font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>Hydro Ottawa has teamed up with United Way Ottawa again this year to manage and support an innovative community investment fund called Hydro Ottawa's Brighter Tomorrows Fund. This fund enables frontline charities that serve people who are homeless, or at risk of being homeless, to invest in energy-efficient technologies or products. Specifically, the fund supports small-scale capital projects that improve the energy efficiency of an organization's facilities, helping to reduce energy costs and creating savings that organizations can use for their programs. Hydro Ottawa matches the funds raised by its employees from its annual United Way workplace campaign to provide the investment dollars available under this Fund.<br><br>The Call for Proposals for funding under this program was launched today and proposal submissions are due by May 3, 2013.
