<p class="MsoNormal">Nominated by the Elizabeth Frye Society and recognized for her contributions as “a woman who took on the system to fight for the rights of people with mental health issues are criminalized and won…. Her selflessness in taking an individual
issue and bringing it to a broader forum to benefit the greater good”….and her “resolve and, dogged persistence in the fight for social justice, and determination to make things better for others.”<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Dr. Rajiv Bhatla<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Recognized for his work as Psychiatrist in Chief at the Royal and Consultant Psychiatrist with Upstream and for his contribution to mental health in the Ottawa community over the past 22 years. He was also acknowledged for being “a leader
in the delivery of innovative mental health services and enhancing the quality of life of clients and providers in urban and rural areas who would otherwise have no access to psychiatry”.

the community,” and who “never enters into things lightly and once committed, gives her whole heart.”
