Suicide is the second leading cause of death amongst youth aged 18-24; however, about 60% don’t seek help when they’re struggling with depression. This cohort experiences an increase in mental health issues, while facing a decrease in access to therapeutic
services. The University of Ottawa’s Ian Colman will speak about factors associated with suicide among this age group.

are at risk. The Royal, Youth Services Bureau, CHEO, Ottawa Public Health, Canadian Mental Health Association, and Ottawa Police Services are key partners among other organizations that work with children and youth in Ottawa.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
