<span lang="FR-CA">Au mois de septembre 2016, le gouvernement du Canada a lancé deux appels de propositions dans le cadre du volet de financement Solutions novatrices à l’itinérance : 1) des contributions pour des projets à grande échelle (entre 25 000 $ et
500,000$), ainsi que 2) des micros-subventions pour des projets ou prototypes novateurs à petite échelle (jusqu’à 25 000 $).

<span lang="FR-CA">Les appels de propositions ont connu un grand succès, générant près de 500 idées de projets à travers le pays. Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer que 21 projets de micro-subventions ont reçu du financement en 2016-2017 et qu’une seconde cohorte
incluant 18 autres projets de micro-subventions recevra du financement en 2017-2018. De plus, 51 projets de contribution recevront aussi du financement cette année.

<span lang="FR-CA">Les propositions de projets couvrent les 4 secteurs prioritaires des appels, soit les interventions auprès des Autochtones et des jeunes, des anciens combattants et des femmes fuyant la violence; en plus de l’établissement de partenariats
entre les bailleurs de fonds, les fournisseurs de services et le secteur privé en vue de la prestation de services; la collectes de données pour améliorer l'état des connaissances sur la portée et la nature de l'itinérance; ainsi que l'amélioration des résultats

<span lang="FR-CA">Les Canadiens ont été invités à participer à la consultation en ligne en vue du renouvellement de la Stratégie des partenariats de lutte contre l’itinérance (SPLI). Le processus de consultation en ligne est ouvert du 17 juillet jusqu’au 15
septembre 2017. Tous les Canadiens, les organisations ainsi que les gouvernements sont invités à partager leurs idées sur les manières de prévenir et réduire l’itinérance à travers le canada, par l’entremise du questionnaire en ligne.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

In September 2016, the Government of Canada launched two calls for proposals under the Innovative Solutions to Homelessness funding stream: 1) contributions for large-scale pilot projects (between $25,000 and $500,000) and 2) microgrants for small-scale experimental
projects or prototypes (up to $25,000).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal">

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal">
The calls were very successful and generated close to 500 innovative project ideas from across the country. We are pleased to report that so far, 21 microgrant projects were funded in 2016–17 and another 18 microgrant projects are expected to be funded in 2017–18.
In addition, 51 contribution projects will be funded this year. <o:p></o:p></p>

Project proposals touch on all four priority areas of the calls: interventions for Indigenous peoples, youth, Veterans, and women fleeing violence; the establishment of strategic partnerships with funders, service providers and the private sector to provide
coordinated services; data collection to improve the state of knowledge on the scope and nature of homelessness; and the improvement of socio-economic outcomes for homeless or formerly homeless people. Stay tuned for an official announcement of the projects.<o:p></o:p></p>

Process on the Redesign of the Homelessness Partnering Strategy <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>

Canadians have been invited to participate in the online engagement to inform the redesign of the Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS). The online engagement process is open from July 17, 2017, to September 15, 2017. All Canadians, organizations and governments
are invited to share their stories and ideas on how to reduce and prevent homelessness across Canada through the online survey.<o:p></o:p></p>
