sous-financés, comparativement à d’autres secteurs du système de soins de santé. Les temps d’attente se prolongent. Des programmes ont été réduits. Des gens sont laissés pour compte.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span lang="FR-CA" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span lang="FR-CA" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">À l'heure actuelle, dans son budget de santé total de 54 milliards de dollars, l'Ontario consacre 3,5 milliards de dollars à la santé mentale
et aux dépendances. Cela signifie que la part du budget de santé accordée à la santé mentale et aux dépendances est de 6,5 pour cent. En 1979, elle était de 11,3 pour cent.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span lang="FR-CA" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span lang="FR-CA" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Mais un événement important est sur le point de se produire. Pour la première fois depuis longtemps, on note une reconnaissance générale du
besoin urgent de services de qualité en santé mentale et traitement des dépendances. Le gouvernement fédéral consacre des sommes sans précédent aux services de santé mentale et de traitement des dépendances. De plus, avec l'élection provinciale qui se tiendra
le printemps prochain, les trois principaux partis politiques de l'Ontario estiment qu'il s'agit d'un enjeu important.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
