As part of Health Canada’s commitment to addressing the national opioid crisis, Health Canada is making a

wallet card</a> on opioid awareness available that you may consider distributing within your community, including during your Point-in-Time (PiT) count. . Along with information on how to spot an opioid overdose and what to do if you suspect an opioid overdose,
the wallet cards now include information on the Good Samaritan Overdose Act – which protects people who seek emergency help during an overdose situation from charges related to simple drug possession.
