<p class="m_4047553745081967348MsoPlainText">As you’ve probably heard, Legal Aid Ontario’s budget was cut by 30% following the Provincial government’s budget announcement on April 11, 2019. By next year, the cuts will increase to 40%, which will have a drastic impact on the client
communities that LAO and Legal Clinics serve. Those impacted will be Ontario’s most vulnerable people, who are facing additional cuts to our social safety nets. Access to justice is a fundamental tenet of a healthy democracy. Taking away vital services from
people that need them most, further entrenches their marginalization. <u></u><u></u></p>
