experiencing homelessness during some the coldest months of the year. The community opened its first drop-in warming centre, offering shelter from the weather and a chance to connect individuals with service providers. The Dryden Warmth Project’s drop-in centre
offers a low barrier environment where those in need can access basic needs services, connect with others and be referred to services by the centre’s client support workers. The drop-in centre currently offers these services a few nights a week, with plans
to expand to daily and overnight operations underway. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

experiences of homelessness, both recent and current. These questions will appear on the long-form Census, which is sent to 1 in 4 households, and will capture sheltered and unsheltered homelessness experiences, as well as “hidden homelessness,” such as staying
temporarily with friends, family, or others because there is nowhere else to live. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

street or in parks, in a makeshift shelter, in a vehicle, or in an abandoned building over the past 12 months. The second question captures people who are experiencing homelessness on Census Day or have experienced it over the past 12 months in the form of
living temporarily with friends, family or others because they had nowhere else to live. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

et du Nord, a fondé « The Sprouts Initiative » à l’âge de 15 ans. Cette initiative a mobilisé plus de 500 bénévoles pour livrer plus de 25 000 repas à des refuges pour personnes en situation d’itinérance, ainsi que plus de 20 000 colis à des familles à faible
revenu dans sa communauté. Elle a également fondé CAN-ACCESS, un réseau national visant à améliorer l’accessibilité aux soins de santé et à rendre ces services plus inclusifs pour les personnes en situation de handicap. Elle a par ailleurs consacré plus de
2 000 heures de bénévolat à l’intervention en situation de crise et à la prévention du suicide. Stephanie continue de diriger et d’inspirer les bénévoles de sa communauté, en venant en aide aux personnes en situation d’itinérance, aux personnes en situation
