There are three Michif languages, commonly referred to as Southern Michif, Nothern Michif, and Michif French. Drawing primarily from Cree (Nehiyawewin) and French, with influences from Saulteaux/Ojibwe (Anishinaabemowin), English, and other languages, each
Michif language reflects unique Métis histories, relationships, and ways of seeing the world. </div>
