Green Technology Seminar at Clean Nova Scotia Thinking about installing environmentally friendly technologies in your home? Clean Nova Scotia and the Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute will be holding a seminar (free of charge) about Green Technology at the Clean Nova Scotia office on Thursday April 12, 2012 from 7-8 p.m. MTRI (http://www.merseytobeatic.ca/) is a non-profit cooperative that promotes sustainable use of natural resources. They have recently retrofitted their facility in Kempt with energy efficient green technologies (including solar hot water, geothermal, wind, solar PV and solar hot air) and are moving toward LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Jesse Saroli from MTRI will discuss their experience with green building procedures and LEED certification as it relates to residential buildings and provide first-hand experience to interested attendees. The CNS office is located at 126 Portland Street in Dartmouth, just up from the Alderney Ferry Terminal. Please contact Derek Gillis (dgillis at clean.ns.ca; 902-420-7944) if you are planning to attend. Coffee and tea will be provided.
