The Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute, with funding from the Nova Scotia
Department of Natural Resources, will be holding a one
day Chainsaw Safety course for youth aged 14-18 years of
age and a two day Introduction to Sustainable
Woodlot Management workshop.

The Chainsaw Safety workshop will be an indoor
safety and awareness training, delivered by the
Forestry Safety Society and held at MTRI. The limit
for participants is 15 and interested adults will be
considered. We see this as an opportunity to start the
interest and education in sustainable forest management on woodlots, for
the younger generation. The workshop will be held on Sunday March 17th
8:30am-4:30pm, with a registration cost of $20 per person.

For more information or to register for the workshop contact Benna at
benna.keoghoe at merseytobeatic.ca or 902-682-2371.
