The South Shore Chapter of the Council of Canadians* *presents *Salmon
Wars: Wild Fish, Aquaculture and the Future of Communities *on
Friday, January 25 2013 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the
Mahone Bay Centre.   Narrated by Silver Donald Cameron, *Salmon Wars* is an
eye-opening 70-minute documentary that explores net cage salmon aquaculture
and its social, economic and environmental impact on the communities where
it operates.  Included are discussions with industry representatives,
community activists, scientists, environmentalists and politicians, and
Nova Scotia's Minister of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Environment.  These
issues continue to be of particular relevance to our communities on the
South Shore, given the Province's recent approval of two new aquaculture
sites in Jordan Bay, Shelburne County.

A moderated discussion will follow the screening.
