Free School isn't really school at all.  Education can happen anywhere, and it does.  The Falls Brook Free School creates an open learning environment that promotes and encourages everyone to teach and learn.  We have a wealth of knowledge in our communities and rarely have the opportunity to learn from our neighbors or share our knowledge.

Permaculture Design (August 19 - Sept1)
Register by July 22
Ideal for the backyard gardener to the seasoned farmer, this Certificate Course will take you through the principles and practice of Permaculture Design.

Permaculture Design emphasizes the observation and replication of natural systems to maximize efficiency and minimize labour while mutually benefiting humans and our natural environment.

Wetland Education at FBC
This Spring, we celebrated another great year of partnership with Ducks Unlimited Project Webfoot and we hosted approximately 550 grade 3, 4 and 5 New Brunswick students. Through hands-on games and activities we communicated the importance of protecting, improving and celebrating our Canadian wetlands.

Students hiked through the swampy Acadian forest, observed wetland critters at our on-site pond and played games which highlight the value of wetlands for migratory birds, native species and of course, people!

We look forward to learning with students every year and are happy to know the young New Brunswickers are equipped with the knowledge to be environmental stewards.
