Hi everyone

It's weeks since I've been properly in touch – but things have been busy around here. Here's what we've been up to:
* The newest Green Interview is our astonishing conversation with Ecuador's Pablo Fajardo and New York's Steven Donziger (http://thegreeninterview.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7f5e4d89ff3d230f03b36fdb7&id=b9fea072ef&e=ddcaef3914) , who sued Chevron for its pollution of the Amazon rainforest, and won a $9.5 billion settlement. Chevron skipped the country, and the Ecuadorians are pursuing the company in the courts of Ontario. It's the biggest environmental lawsuit of all time, and it's playing out in Canada. * Coming soon to The Green Interview: the legendary David Suzuki, nearing his 80th year, but as passionate and profound as ever.  And after that, Mumta Ito, the dynamic young British lawyer who is organizing a huge “citizen's initiative” to have environmental rights included in the legal system of the European Union.

* We've produced a new promotional video for our GreenRights film project. You can see it here: www.GreenRights.com.  And the whole site has been revised, updated and visually enhanced. Do take a look – and if you can spare a few dollars, please contribute.

* As you already know, Marjorie Simmins, with whom I'm fortunate enough to share my life, recently published her first book, Coastal Lives.
