Position: Senior Manager
Organization: Atlantic Water Network - MakeWay
Location: AWN's main office is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, however applicants from across Atlantic Canada are welcome to apply. Options for remote, hybrid, and flexible working hours.

Background

The Atlantic Water Network (AWN) builds capacity for an expansive network of community partners with the common goal that Atlantic rivers, lakes, and wetlands are healthy and stewarded by local communities.

Formed in 2004, AWN is now a project on Makeway's Shared Platform and has grown to be a hub for community-based water monitoring throughout Atlantic Canada, collaborating with over 100 organizations to advance water science and stewardship in the region. AWN has been a catalyst and support system for environmental stewardship, directly assisting staff and volunteers of watershed organizations of all sizes and capacities. Key supports include an Environmental Monitoring Equipment Bank, standardized online training via WET-Pro certification, a Knowledge Hub of water monitoring resources, a secure and open access data hub (Atlantic DataStream), and workshops on data management, analysis, and science communication.
