Rudy Haase has been a Sierra Club member for over 50 years and was the recipient

</SPAN>Persistent, uncompromising, effective, Rudy Haase has protected
ecosystems from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =

w:st="on">Costa Rica</st1:country-region> to <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State
w:st="on">Nova Scotia</st1:State></st1:place>, led successful local campaigns to
protect wilderness, prevent uranium mining and prevent pesticide spraying.<SPAN

has consistently demonstrated his commitment to environmentally sustainable
solutions to many environmental issues throughout the <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Maritime Provinces</st1:State></st1:place>. Bruno
has the ability to articulate and publicly debate important issues and be heard.
