training is available for the first time in the Maritimes. Niyonu
Spann, the Dean of Pendle Hill, a Quaker study and retreat centre near

/><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Philadelphia</st1:City> <st1:State
w:st="on">Pa.</st1:State></st1:place>, has developed a new vision of how to move
this work forward, grounded in the belief that transforming unjust
systems requires taking responsibility, shifting mindsets and building skills,
with a vision that is informed from within and connected
outward. <FONT face=Arial>Participants will receive a Beyond Diversity
Certificate upon the successful completion of the program.</FONT></FONT></DIV>

is a methodology to learn the creative and practical skills of peaceful change,
as part of a global coalition dedicated to creating safe spaces to overcome
division. Based on work in Corrymeala, Northern Ireland, this process
mutually empowers all involved in community conflicts, nation-to-nation
conflicts, and all conflicts large and small. Successful participants will
receive designation as Certified Facilitators in Dialogue for Peaceful Change

Rachel Craig works with 'interface' Catholic and Protestant families, to
overcome division and violence in Northern Ireland. Ishbel Munro is Exec. Dir.
of the Coastal Communities Network in Nova Scotia, and is a Certified Mediator.
Stephen Law has been a trainer of DPC in Ireland in 2006, has done conflict
mediation work in Canada and in Latin America, and is the Social Transformation
Program Coordinator at Tatamagouche
