size=2>Climate change outcomes involve managing risks, practical responses, and
opportunities for taking appropriate actions. The Atlantic Climate Change
Conference is being organized by the Environmental Services Association of Nova
Scotia (ESANS), the Climate Canada Atlantic network, and <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Dalhousie</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The conference will be of interest to
the private and public sectors, civic organizations and associations,
infrastructure designers, and decision-makers. It will link researchers,
practitioners, engineers, planners, business associations, civil servants and
business managers. </FONT></P>

papers, and panel sessions that provide useful, practical and locally applicable
insights. Workshops will focus on strategies and actions that can be adopted by
local government, infrastructure decision- makers, and business. Poster
presentations and trade show booths will highlight local research and
capabilities. The conference will also include an evening public lecture.

other economic instruments, natural resource management, corporate and public
policy, and infrastructure decision-making. </FONT></P>
